Help for pet loss grief, fear of dogs, and animal-related anxiety.

A Compassionate Journey

I’m Kristen Brooker, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and compassionate counsellor based in Ottawa, dedicated to supporting you with understanding and care.

My areas of focus include pet loss grief counselling and psychotherapy, and counselling for individuals who experience animal-related fear or anxiety, including fear of dogs.

I specialize in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a powerful approach that helps individuals to process feelings and commit to living a meaningful life, even in the face of difficult or painful emotions.

I work to create a safe, non-judgmental space where your experience is honoured and you are truly heard. I make use of solution-focused approaches to help you identify practical steps forward, empowering you to find relief and hope at your own pace.

Together, we will work together to forge a hopeful path forward. I’m truly glad you’ve found your way here—you’re not alone.
